This series of classes are designed to give you access to short instructional videos on home maintenance and repair. Watch them all and come back often.

Your home should be a place of comfort and security. Aside from home maintenance you will want to make sure that your family and your home are prepared for emergencies, catastrophes, and the everyday. In this section, you will learn about security, estate planning, emergency planning, creating an evacuation plan, and organizing your documents. Complete the homework in this class and receive a referral to an attorney who can help you finalize your estate plans on a sliding scale.
Save the Environment and your Cash
Did you know that the average American spends 55% of their utility bills on heating or cooling their house? Or that appliances still use energy even if they are turned off but still plugged in? Check out these classes on how to save energy, reduce your carbon footprint and learn about energy-efficient products to consider.
Financial Aspects of Homeownership
Congratulations! Qualifying for a loan is one of the biggest hurdles to getting a new home. Now it’s time to keep those good habitats going for successful homeownership. This section links back to the class on understanding your mortgage and has additional classes on what to do when facing life’s unexpected emergencies. When you are facing a hardship, the unending bills can seem overwhelming but talking with your lender early might help you find some relief.

Neighbors
Homeownership means stability and a sense of community. Your neighbors will most likely be your neighbors for years to come. While we don’t always get to choose who we live next to, we can choose how we will treat one another. Building good relationships with your neighbors can make a home that much sweeter. You love your home, it’s been everything you could have dreamed but it is time to move on. If you are considering selling your home, you will need to prepare for the sale by understanding any documents that might restrict your sale, making sure you are paying off any liens and choosing your real estate team.
